I am looking for a room to sublease/sublet/rent/whatever for next semester. Time is dwindling down and I would hate to be homeless (haha, but seriously). I am 20 years old and an African American Studies major at UNC. I will be working and studying heavy next semester. I do have a strong social life but I like to maintain that outside of my home/private life. If I bring anyone over to the place I live it would most likely be two of my best friends or my boyfriend (which I doubt with him because he is a Physics TA and always busy). I do go out on weekends but I will always come back alone and sober(no worries).
I am looking for a place that is within walking distance to Franklin (at least) or Campus and/or on a busline. I do not have a car and I need to be able to reach campus. I am NOT a smoker, and although I don't mind smokers I'm not comfortable living with someone who smokes in the common areas of their home. I don't mind animals as long as they are behaved. I also would like to live in an area where my safety isn't a problem.
I don't mind if there are male or female roommates. I am looking to pay between $300-$475 in rent or rent+utilities. If you have a place that goes over my limit, suggest it, because I might not have a choice in the next two weeks.
I do not have a co-signer, so if the place is requesting one, understand I do not have one. I do have a credit score (I just got a credit card last month, so be aware I am building credit, it's good all the same though).
